First Aid Trainers Conference 2024

Our in house Training Coordinator Brian Glass had the pleasure of attending First Aid Training Cooperative’s conference in Carlisle in March 2024.

The event was a success and Brian had the chance to meet so many important people while taking the opportunity to speak about Mental Health First Aid.

Brian delivers the Mental Health First Aid training at Changes across the year, with training lasting 12 hours in total. The training itself allows you to:

• Get the skills you need to spot common mental health symptoms in others (and yourself)
• Learn what to do until professional help is available
• Find out about the recovery from mental ill health
• Learn about the links between alcohol and drug abuse and mental health
• Understand the importance of good listening skills
