First Steps to Positive Mental Health Course

Description

If you’re struggling with your mental health, you’re not alone. Many people in East Lothian and beyond face challenges that impact their emotional, cognitive and physical wellbeing. But the good news is that there are resources available to help you take control of your mental health and start feeling better.

One such resource is the First Steps to Positive Mental Health course, a mental health course offered in East Lothian. This course is designed to help people become more aware of their emotions, thoughts, behaviours and physical symptoms. By increasing our awareness, we can challenge unhelpful patterns and start to feel more in control of our thoughts and how they make us feel and behave.

The First Steps to Positive Mental Health course is an excellent option for anyone who wants to improve their mental health and wellbeing. It’s led by a staff member with the support of a volunteer peer facilitator who has gone through some of the same challenges as participants. This helps create a safe and supportive environment where everyone can feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

Participants in the First Steps to Positive Mental Health course are encouraged to work with others in small groups to learn ways to help themselves feel better and identify personal coping strategies for moving forward. There can be up to 16 participants on this course, which means you’ll have the opportunity to meet and connect with others who are also working on their mental health.

Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, or any other mental health challenge, the First Steps to Positive Mental Health course can help you take the first steps toward recovery. By learning to be more aware of your emotions, thoughts, behaviours and physical symptoms, you’ll be better equipped to challenge unhelpful patterns and take control of your mental health and wellbeing.
